I know this is an old thread but I discovered it looking for something else and enjoyed it but noticed that my favourite feature on the SVX was never mentioned. The feature I like best on the svx is the separate door lock on the main console. I use it everyday many times a day. Our Legacy and most other cars have the lock on the door cluster and I always find I'm searching for it. The SVX's is in the perfect spot.

The "central locking" feature was not introduced until the '94MY.

'94 MY? manufacture year?

I have a '93 (made 02/93) with the central locking which I quite enjoy as well. However the digital temp is by far my favorite feature.. man I love my SVX... Whenever I ride in or need to drive newer cars (including my boyfriends chevy '05, my parents ford '06, and a rental - pontiac '08), I loose my mind. All I can think about is how I feel like something was stolen from me.. "why can't I control my enviroment!?!" I can never find the right setting.. it gets too hot, then too cold, etc..
I need to go hug my SVX..

I got lucky, I have the central locking system in my 94 and the normal seatbelts... Can't stand those automatic seat belts...
What I don't have is an alarm system. Is it true the Cdn vehicles didn't get the alarm system?

I think my favorite feature is also the automatic air control. It's so cool to get in the car and set the temp to 72 and leave it alone.

The feature that saves my butt is the headlights shut off when the ignition is off. But maybe that is not considered a feature?

I'm used to automatic climate control, both Foresters have it. My favorite feature is heated mirrors. Well, that and power mode.

I came out of a 1991 Legacy. It had power everything, but not all the nifty features the SVX has .

Nice poll. Heres something that everyone may not be aware of tho.

Outside temp feature = 86 and up GL-10 Subaru's with digidash and XT6's.
Windshield wiper parking = Standard on XT/XT6's.
Speed sensitive wipers = Standard on XT6's, not sure about XT's.
Headlight washers = Standard on GL-10 XT's and all XT6's.

Things I think are cool from the SVX...
Dimmer/brightness switch on stalk.
Climate control (This has been around for quite a while tho, my 68 T-Bird had it).
Central locking.
Stereo panel.
Heated mirrors.

Can I get heated seats please?
We need another poll.
How many of you have the SVX as your first Subaru?

Are we forgetting?

1) Auto-up windows on the 92!

2) Keeping one finger resting on the lightstalk while your foglights are on - ready to flash BACK at anyone who thinks my highbeams are on!
