I just removed the TCU as there wasn't a need for it now(plus it freed up a little room for the clutch pedal), the CPU operates independantly of the TCU, so it doesn't create any problems.

I did have to remove the Nuetral Safty Switch from the auto and set it to nuetral to be able to start the car( has to be in Park or Nuetral to start)

I'm planning on wiring the clutch position switch in place of the Nuetral Safty Switch, this should allow the car to start when the clutch is depressed, and also allow the cruise control to work(it dosen't work now because it thinks the car is in nuetral)

immortal_suby,
I don't see getting down your way, but thanks for the offer, I've got three daughters-6, 11 and 12, so with the wife thats 5 and the SVX only seats 4, hence my problem getting to attend many meets,I did make it down to the meet in the Smokies last April , hopefully I'll get to another one soon.
And maybe I'll have All the bugs worked out by then

Oh yeah, Ill be sure to bring a towel for all the drool

I just got back from a test drive(just turned the rear rotors), and thought I'd get a rough 0-60 time, well it only turned 0-60 around 8 seconds.....BUT I couldn't get the clutch to hook up when I'd dump on it, so the car didn't really move much the first couple seconds, I'm pretty confident that with a proformance clutch & pressure plate, it would reach 0-60 in at least mid 6's.

If I get her rolling before I open her up she really moves, but I guess with the AWD haveing 4- 50 series tire gripping, the stock clutch just dosen't have what it takes, So once I wear this clutch out I'll have to opt for a heavy duty one.

Oh well, back to the drawing board( spoken like the true draftsman I am )

Thumbs up Give him a round of applause....

Great effort Huck,
It's nice to hear everything is working pretty good. Once you get the high performance clutch assembly, I know there will be a big difference in operation. Are you doing any research into what type of high performance clutch assembly you would like to use later?

Will probally go for the ACT setup not the race one, but the hi-po street one, as I'll really jist be driving it, not racing it.

Manual tranny for me?

Not much I'd like more than a manual tranny in my SVX. So, this is on E-bay.

Will this work in the SVX? If so, how long can I expect to be working on it. What kind of tools do I need. I know a Subaru mechanic who may be willing to help me. Personally I haven't done work as major as this, but I would love to. Huck....If you could maybe send me a private message with some details on the process, and how long I can expect to be working on this (Using what i got on E-bay), I'd GREATLY appreciate it. I'm worried about my transmission, and I figure if I'm gonna do this I ought to do it right. So, I just need some encouragement, or discouragement, depending upon whether or not this is something I can handle. Thanks a ton.
