head gaskets great, broken rod

Thanks for the info concerning my head gaskets, but it was my rod i think on the #1 cylinder.Yes it was my fault, racing a new mach1,it ran 13.8 at 104, I ran 13.77 at 109 using 150 shot wet. That was my last race for 100$.THE svx is a real sleeper.

Yeah, when you run a 150 shot of NOS . I hate to sound like an ass, but next time you feel the urge to run such a large shot of NOS on your SVX- stop, sell your SVX, and buy a honduh. SVXs were never meant for drag racing.....

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

I think we may have just found what the mechanical limit is for a totally stock SVX bottom end...13.77 quarter mile = blown rod
Hope you can get it rebuilt without too much damage to your wallet.

-Bill (adding to his "don't try this SVX list" - "don't run 150 shot of NOS")
