Stock black w/metallic red????

I just noticed, after leaving my black SVX in the sun and having the sun shine on it, that the black paint has a red metallic to it. Is that stock or was my car painted before I bought it. It looks really nice, but not very noticable at all unless you get really close....let me know if you know anything about this....

Mine, like other 92s (I assume), is ebony mica. It's black with little red flecks that shine in the sun, but I'm in Seattle so there's never enough sun to see them.

Yep, that's the stock color. Hard as hell to match if it ever gets "nastied up."

Randy, bite your tongue... My SVX has that color and because its officially two cars in one.. the original color of the front-half was red and there is no way possible to tell where it was painted and where the orginal paint meets!! Check out the pics of the car in my folder!

Alls I can say is "kudos to your color tech."

Horror stories abound from members who've had body shops try to match the color. Usually takes a couple of tries before hey get it right.

I just looked in your locker, Shadowyng. That color match is terrible. I'd get rid of the car quickly. Just drive it down here to Kentucky and I'll take it off your hands.

I will admit that my paint is a bit faded also, but Maguire has an awesome wax that will make the black on your car look really slick! The wax is really easy to put on and remove. The only thing is will only last a few weeks at best, but definetly looks awesome!

Maguires Gold Class Wax

Ok i think i will try that.
I used Maguires Cleaner Wax a few weeks ago but i think it seemed to make the swirls jump out more after a week or so lol.
If you see the passange shot in my locker i think one of the next things i really wanna do is the clear headlight conversion ( god dont they look yellow lol )

These two elements, in the world of paint and body work, I've found, are not compatible.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.
