From what I've seen so far, pulling the engine (last summers task)is easier and faster than pulling the transmission. I'm really putting the tool collection to task here.

My wife thinks I'm nuts, but I'm having a good time tearing in to the car and seeing how things are put together. Not too rusty which is amazing considering the car's spent its entire life in the Rust Belt.

Time to go to bed and get recharged for tomorrow.

Todd,
Do you have a lift in your garage, or do you just have it up on ramps? Take plenty of pictures, I'm sure the SVX "family" will benefit from your experiences "tearing into" the car. slightly o/t -- any luck finding out what shipping will be for the bumper cover?

By the time we have the 15th or 20th anni meet? I am not sure when it will end but by the time it ends, there is a good chance that it will not look like a SVX from the inside. I found me a project car. A daily driver will be purchased in a couple of days hopefully since I have some interviews coming up.

Oh and I am keeping an eye out for a 97 in the same colour as mine or in black as well for a stock SVX.

Lwin, you may want to PM Elninoalex, he should have just finished his own 5 speed conversion using parts supplied by SmallCar in Tacoma.

I'm driving around with his old Auto(w/levelten valve body...Yum)
And his plans were to have it finished this weekend.

No Bill, no lift....yet Just some really tall jack stands.

I've got instructions on removing the trans that I need to document for Nick and then I'll photograph/document each step of the way that I do my swap and put something together.

Sorry about the bumper cover. It slipped my mind. I'll get back to you.
