Svx wheels used
Hi everyone, Late last year, someone posted about a place in Ca. that had all kinds of new and used wheels including used OEM wheels for our SVX's. But nooo. I couldn't find that post. Can anyone help me out with the name of the place.Thanks,BOBB

I just found a place called http://www.thewheelwarehouse.com/ . I just called them, and they were very nice and seemed very professional. The guy I talked to told me that it had been a long time since they had had any SVX wheels, so he couldn't even give me a price.
Searching on Google (which I love more than Doug could in twenty lifetimes), I found several OEM wheel dealers and reconditioners around the country. As far as I know, nobody here has bought from any one of them, so a recommendation will likely be hard to come by.

Wheel price
Hi Nick, The wheels are reconditioned and will be the OEM color for '92/'93. They cost 229.00 w/o exchange. They also have OEM color for '94-'97. Say hi to your wife. She "taged" me at the Home Depot on Carpenter last summer the week before Lafayette. Thanks,BOBB

When I sent a set of svx wheels to Transwheel the price for a complete reconditioning was $154.00. If I ever damage a wheel they will ship me one for 229.00 and give me a 75.00 core credit back when they receive my old wheel. This will be the easiest in the future as I can drive to the Williamsport, MD facility which is about 20 miles from me. This is a wonderful company to deal with and I have been extremely pleased with their customer service. I highly recommend them to all members. It they are good enough to mass my svX-cessive scrutiny then there is nothing to worry about. I just transferred these wheels from my pearlie to my 96 Polo.

By the way, all reconditioned wheels are guarenteed to meet or exceed manufacturers specs for roundness, trueness, etc. and they come with a lifetime warranty on the finish.

does anyone know how much it would be to chrome the factory wheels? i know one of our members have them, and thats really the only way I would like them i think... soo any info??
