power driver seat wiring

I recently acquired a 1992 svx with power leather drivers seat that was not working/moving. Everything else on circuit worked, so I determined from the car sitting with the rear window smashed out and the damp carpet, the relay wiring under the seat/carpet was likely the issue. After getting a working relay and cleaning up wiring harness the seat bottom moved, however the seat back does not recline. I can hear the relay but the motor isn't getting power and all wiring looks good except for these weird electrical taped circuit boards, there is one inline with all the motors it looks like. The recline circuit board has power on inlet side but not outlet... it doesn't appear to be burnt or broken....

Does anyone know what these boards actually do? Can I just remove and direct wire the recline? I am struggling to understand the wiring diagram and I'm not a electric guy... I'll get a good photo of the recline board that is back under the seat after I drink a beverage.

Quick follow up... Board looked good, but when moving it around to take a photo the wiring must have been corroded enough under the solder that ran down the wire to the casing that it wasn't making contact and actually broke off. Photos of board and resistor(s?). From my limited knowledge I can assume that these boards are needed and it can't be direct wired, so I'll try to resolder or have something made.

Figured I'd follow up again that I soldered wires back up and the recline still didn't work. So I removed the board and ran new wires from the harness to get the motor operating and it worked...so something with the board or extents of the wiring was junk. The car is a budget beater so this will work so the seat isn't laying down.

You took a resistor and a capacitor out of the circuit. I would keep an eye on the motor. They were put there for a reason.

I concur that they were put there for a reason. I wouldn't suggest this unless it's a quick/budget effort just to move and set the seat.

The resistor is a 10 Ohms 1% and the Capacitor (334) 330 nF.. For later reference.
