Mildew on escaine?

Well. Car is up after 8 year sleep.

Interior got mildew somehow. All escaine looks fine except for drivers panel. It's not horrible, which makes me wonder if I can save it.

Thoughts or experiences?

Re: Mildew on escaine?

There are several specialty cleaners made for escaine.
I cleaned the oily grungy door handles in my '92 with a $1.00 product from The Dollar Tree.
It's LA's Totally Awesome spot remover in a purple spray bottle. I think their Awesome Orange would work too. I used a couple of old white t-shirts and just sprayed it lightly and dabbed off the dirt. You don't want to get the escaine too wet. The filth it removed was amazing and the door handles look almost new.

I know where I am going today, thanks for the tip.

What you said about wetness is true, I tried to shampoo a spare dirty I had and the soft part of the fabric started coming off.
