BAH! and the 50 cent part

OK, so i'm driving along and all of a sudden my steering gets kinda stiff, So I'm like eh, must be the road. Get to a stop light a few blocks from my house, see a bunch of smoke take it home as fast as possible. At this time taking a left hand turn, there is no power steering. so I creep it home though the back roads, get home, open the hood, smoke everywhere, and a steady stream of fluid out the bottom. The fluid got on the manifold and started burning off.

Anyways, I finnally find the hose that's leaking it, getting to it is another matter, had to take off the intake tube, go though a ton of wires, then take off a few rusted up clamps. then finally get the new 50cent peice of tube on (had it laying around) and a few new clamps, get it all together, add more fluid, and now it's good to go.

This all started at around 8, didn't get done till 11:30-12ish

That's my BAH! for this evening

Yeah, that low pressure hose seems prone to bursting. It has happpened on my SVX twice now, once at around 20k and again at 160k. You should probably count yourself lucky that it wasn't the high pressure hose. You can't get that one at the parts store.

I replaced the low pressure one w/ a high pressure one

As for the high pressure one after that, all you have to do is make your own
