Subwoofer box done and installed, yay

Hey guys. I finally got the everything hooked up and running with my single 12" subwoofer. Much nicer sound, especially considering I only listen to rap music. I can pretty much never turn it up tho, or else it will get stolen by the jerks in my city.

I measured it to be 11+3/4" or MAYBE 12" clearance, so the 12" sub in a box was a bit of a fun challenge. It will not leave that trunk without way, way too much effort. This is good for theft prevention, but bad for if I ever want to, you know... remove it.

Sub is a Rockford Fosgate T112D4 12" and the amp is a Rockford Fosgate 160.2 with the bass boost guage mounted in the lower DIN slot below my single-DIN Alpine CDA-9831. For reference, I have JVC CS-V624 6.5"s in the doors and JVC CS-V6934 6x9"s in the back deck. All 4 of those are running off (if I remember correctly) a Clarion ProAudio APA2104.

That looks good. Can you post the mods you had to do and the box dimensions so some of us can copy you??? I have a box that takes up my whole trunk and I need to do something different again.

Cool!
Sometimes I wish SVX came with decent own subs so that won't take up any trunk space.. That's cool to have subs, definitely I want to have it. But at same time I need to use trunk space a lot every day...

Dayle made some nice 10" fiberglass sub box for SVX trunk, I think it was on Ebay?

That install looks good and the carpet looks like a perfect match.

Now when are you coming to Winnipeg so I can see it in person?

I should really find an excuse to come for a visit before it gets too snowy. My wife is undergoing a career change (she is now going to work for herself) so we have a few challenges with income until she gets going but I'll see what I can do. With classes and working fulltime shift-work I'm pretty limited in terms of spare time. If it can't happen in winter, I'll make it happen in spring when I'll have the 19s on, etc.

I'd recommend waiting for spring...or at least mid winter. I just put the winters on this weekend.
