60000 mile checkup most critical
Getting ready to have this done. My question is what are the more critical things to get done for this type of service and how much should I expect a dealer to charge for the 60000 mile checkup.

I just got a generic coupon from Subaru saying they will do this 60k maintenance for $130 ($15 off list) I'm still laughing hysterically. Just buying the timing belt is over $80. Expect in the $350 range. (Or at least its that much in Vegas.)

In Northern Virginia, it will run over $500. BTW, have the water pump and hoses replaced at the same time - costs more in the near-term, but will cost you more down the road.

That's why it's good to find a respectable specialist. They normally have parts cars just laying around (not usually SVXs) but no matter what a specialist will always charge you less for the same parts and better service.
