well the decision was made to take the jeep. about a hundred miles into the trip, hubby said we should have taken the green svx. oh well. we had to stop twice to refuel and have been averaging about 17.5 mpg. surprisingly, premium fuel is only $.16 more per gallon here than the $.20 to $.26 in colorado. i saw regular unleaded for $1.699 in edmond, ok.

if i had to to sit the the back seat of an SVX for 3500 miles, someone would be receiving some violence.

Actually we all took turns. I did most of the driving but even I had my turn in the back. I was the tallest of the three, the other 2 being my dad and my gf.

the back seat is ok if you're in a pinch, but not for a roadtrip. the rear seat behind my drivers seat is useless, because i have my seat cranked all the way back. i essentially have a 3-seater.

My SVX was great on my 3.5k roadtrip - I wasn't ready to stop driving when I got home. Of course I had the car to myself (except for the fish).

SVX's make great long trip cars. The seats are veryyyy comfortable if your sitting in the front seats.
