Light Metallic Rattle

Can anyone help with a light metallic rattle in the steering column (or it seems to be coming from there). If I turn the steering wheel to the right, the rattle will continually occur over any slight bump in the road until I turn to the left. Once I turn to the left, the rattle disappears. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Ignition switch / lock?

Here's a thought - is your igniton switch loose?

If it is, then it, or the bolts that secure it to the steering column, could be causing that rattle.

It seems that the bolts that secure the SVX ignition switch have a habit of working themselves loose over time. It turns out that I had a strange rattle eminating from the steering column, which I traced to one of the ignition switch bolts having fallen out completely and rolling around loose in the lower steering column cover!

Jason.

That must have been the issue. No more rattles. Thanks!
