cassette stuck in tapedeck

Hey all,

I have a cassette stuck in the tape player of our '92 SVX, any suggestions on how to easily get it out? Not being able to listen to the radio is driving us batty.

thanks

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Mine gets stuck half way out sometimes. I just push it back in and push eject and then in the that last instance, pull it out fast. Okay I know this can be construed but yes I am talking about the tape so please don't make this into something it's not. Please? Okay Please?

If yours is stuck all the way in, so that you can't see it or it doesn't move up at all when the button is pushed, well then that is a problem. She's got one heck of a grip. Most likely it's spilled it guts and now all that stuff from inside is wrapped around the rhythmic drive. I have seen this happen before on insertable units of low quality or ones that get used over and over again. The entire device will have to be removed and taken apart.
