guess what i had to drive for the day

my mechanic's saturn....

i love my svx more then ever right now!

my car was in the shop all of friday getting the bearing done, an oil change and fluid check, my drive side door lock fixed, and a 120 mile tune up. he rotated my tires and looks like i need a new set and i've only had them on for a little over a year...oh well.

the total cost was around $566. i was scared to see something over 1000. the problem with the bearing is that the last mechanic put the bolts on backwards on the hub or something and that is causing problems and it is hard to get them off.

Kelli

oh, and BTW, my tranny is going schools almost out...life is good!

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

I highly doubt that! You didn't see the one I was forced to drive...and it only had 65,000 miles on it.

Well Kelli... schools almost out, at least that is a light at the end of the tunnel. Even though those finals usually really seem to squeeze that light down to about a pin sized hole.

Never driven a Saturn. Don't really want to. It made you feel all dirty inside and out didn't it?

ADAM! YOU ALMOST SAID THE "N" WORD!

Oh yeah, Kelli... is your tranny REALLY going, or just kinda going? Mine was going for about three or fours years until it REALLY went about six months ago. Pretty much stayed in semi-going form the whole time. Just wonderin'... you may be able to put off the rebiuld (or manual swap). Unless you're like me and are simply in dire NEED of that manual.

Ahhh... a little tweak here, a little explosive device there... oh I guess it really is time to cash in that warranty.

I drove my brothers focus and my dad's camry for a week and then I drove mine... Oh what heaven... especially with the bearings fixed. I think its because you cant adjust the height and angle of the seat as well as the position and depth of the steering wheel. I'm like 5'10" but most of my height is from my legs and its awkward sitting with the seat far back and then having to reach forward to get to the steering wheel.
