Major service:

I just changed the new fuel filter and spark plugs with NGK iridium 5 months ago, put a new battery in the car 3 months ago,

I have replaced the following;
LF ABS sensor replaced (6/14/2011), PS/Alt belt and AC belt (6/3/2011), Timing Belt (6/2/2011, 125,586 Miles), Power steering pump (2/09/2005) , power steering rack (4/30/2002), water pump (4/30/2002), thermostat (4/30/2002), Left front CV joint (4/08/2008) , rear wheel bearings (8/20/2005), front wheel bearings (6/27/2011, 125k miles), center cat, both O2 sensors (5/21/2008), separator plate (10/29/2007) , Front and rear main seals (10/01/2007) , front brake pads (2/03/2009), Temp sensor (97/13/04), rear diff oil was changed (1/30/2004)( should be changed did not know it was that long ago) replaced 4 of the window stabilizers (7/08/2003) .

Engine Condition: Uses oil, its not leaking, and I don’t smell it burning. Still pulls hard. CE comes on from time to time for the EGR valve.

Transmission condition: around 15,000 miles on it (replaced main shaft, all bearings on the main two shafts, gears 3nd and 4th, sincrows on gears 3 and 4, the 3rd/4th shift hub was replaced (wider 2003 3nd and 4th gear parts where used and I have the invoice) (work was done on 08/17/2007)

Glass condition: one very small chip low in the center

Type of tire and remaining tread: Continental ContiExtremeContact 60-70% where installed 09/26/2003 but up in till 2 years ago there where only on the car in the winter, when I did not really drive the car much.

Type of wheels: Stock coating is peeling on the wheels.

Interior condition: good, normal seat ware on the drivers seat.

Body condition: good, one lip has a chip in the paint, right rear corner of bumper has a scuff, small scratch on the left rear fender, CF hood needs to be sanded and cleared (I started to fix it, mite get it done), head lights could use a polishing. Also the front bumper and right fender where replaced around 12/10/2002 by a Subaru dealer. Do to a miner impact with a wire gird rail, was at less then 5 MPH and I can't tell that anything was replaced, also rear wring was repainted at the same time. Paint has a lifetime refinish warranty and I have all the paper work. (I am listing every little thing I know of so no one would be surprised, but other then the hood the car looks very good when clean for a 14 year old car)

Known defects or problems: figure out where the oil is going, hood damper, Could also use new struts.

Comments about the car:
I am the second owned of the car. (title may show three, my parents have there name on the title when I got it) I have owned it since it had 60,000 miles on it. I always use synthetic oil and change the filler about every 3,000 miles. I have many of the invoices for part that are on the car.
I loved this car and put a lot of money into it (3K+ in audio and another 3K+ into doing the 5 speed swap, the hood, all the JDM parts, and the exhaust), but I got a 2002 WRX and now my SVX mostly sits. So would like to move on at this point and sell it before it gets trashed from sitting.

Asking price: Would like to get $7,000 with the extra parts and the audio stuff, lower without parts and audio, but BO would do.

Somebody is going to get one of the nicest blue SVXs I've seen in pictures. I have always thought this car was very sharp. Manual swap is just that much better.

I added dates to all the parts I had invoics for.

As for why, Well.
1) I got a newer toy, VF22 powered 2002 WRX. Its cheeper for parts and better as a daly driver.
2) We don't need three cars for 2 people.
3)I dont have a coverd place to park it and keep it out of the weather.
4)We dont drive it very much, blocked in by the other two cars.
5)It realy needs work to get it where I want it and I realy don't have the money to do that. I would need to get coilovers $2000 , new summer tires $1000, wheel bearings $500, and I dont know where the oil keeps going. So looking at around $4k to get it where I want it and then it will still be a 14 year old car that i have no place to keep.

Dont get me wrong I love the car. Its rare and fun. If I had the money and a place to keep it I would keep the car. but I don't and its sad seeing the car just sitting in the drive way every day.
Its time to move on before its not worth anything to anyone but me and I could realy use the money to pay off bills right now.

I drove this car to work daily for a little while when a friend was using my wagon.

I LOVE this car and I too am sad to see it sit in the driveway on a daily basis. And yes, I will be sad to see it go as well.

But as my Husband (AFBeefcake) said, it's time to let it go. I know there is someone out there that can really take care of her and make her what she was meant to be.

And yes, we could really use the money to pay down some bills.

The car still has rediculous power and is so much fun to drive!

Only got to talk to you once (94 Pearlie), but saw your car countless times. SUPER clean!

Good luck with the sale! I would love to take it off your hands, but for all of the same reasons, my '06 WRX suits me just fine!
