Liberty 3.7
Well I was impressed by the acceleration by these SUV's...but that's about it though.
We both took off from the lights on "less than ideal" street conditions. Even with my non-all-season summer tires I was still able to out accelerate, albeit slowly, this Jeep Liberty. I decided to end the race once I was sure he had no chance (80mph) and decided to return to the normal speed limit of 50mph. I like the race because the road surface allowed the tires to slip just enough to get the RPM's up to a range more suitable for acceleration.

Yeah, jeeps are pretty badass. Here's a free tip: Don't race a cherokee. Trust me. :\

a woman at work bought a Jeep Liberty when they first came out. the hatch squeaked so bad that it was almost undriveable. the dealer said there was nothing they could do - that's the way they were built! scary.
the V8 Cherokees are slick, but i'd be too paranoid about interior rattles to buy one.

Rattles or not, the Cherokees are FAST. 4wd, lots of torque, and perfect gearing to get up to 60-70.
