actually, I DO have an arguement.. that's what that whole post I just put up was.

Anyway, it's really not nice to wish harm on someone, even if it's just a "small accident."

Merry Christmas

Anyway, its not really nice to knowingly ignore one of the most vital safety features on your car because 'you don't feel like it'.

Merry Xmas, and I hope you don't hit anyone I know.

I was thinking about a way to put turn signal buttons on the steering wheel.. like in the new Ferrari Enzo Ferrari Ferrari Enzo... whatever it's called.. I'd use my turn signals ALL the time if I had thumb buttons..

Adam, try this: hook your thumbs over the top spokes on the steering wheel. Then SLOOOOOWLY (don't want to hurt yourself)extend your fingers toward the dash. See if your fingers come in contact with any solid objects. If they do, the left fingers are probably touching the turn signal stalk. If they aren't, either you've got extremely short fingers, or there's a serious problem with the setup of your car.

By following this simple technique, you won't have to take your hands off the wheel to signal. Just extend the fingers of your left hand and flick (up for right, down for left).

It's always worked for me.

Seriously, not signalling and aggressive driving when there's traffic around on two-lane roads as you described is dangerous. I know you're different because you're an excellent driver and your reaction time and judgement surpass those of other drivers on the road, but it's just not safe. And your "reasonable reasons" sound like excuses to me.

But like Aredub, I'm a "parental driver" (not the same as an old fogy, by the way).

Unhappy I've been following this thead from the start and....

I see here the main problem on our roads.....it seems that everyone (so far without exception) has redefined the rules of the road to suit themselves..... Some go to fast on purpose, some don't signal on purpose... some think that the left lane is for puttering along at the speed limit When I was young... 250 years ago..... I knew I had all of the answers, and I had an opinion on everything... and I was right..... Now I'm hardly ever right, my opinon is a valuable as that new penny in your pocket... (I have a lot fewer of those now too.) I used to rush down the highway...(always 10-15 miles an hour faster than the rest) Get angry with the other drivers........

Here's my last opinon..(right! ) If everyone would consider how their actions affect the people around them and ask themselves how would they react to the situation if their postion was reversed, it might just be a little happier world. When you are shopping at the grocery store do you look around you to see if you are stopped in the middle of the isle? Do people have to move out of their way to stay out of your way? Do you make the driver in front of you or in back of you nervous? ......

I give.... I'll still drive in the right hand lane if I'm slow or the only one on the road. I'll still signal even though there is no one to see the lights. I'll stop and help the person on the side of the road. I'll not stop and talk in the middle of the doorway or stop to look around at the top of the escalator.

Not for them... for me it makes me feel good.

No problem, Mitch. After all, we pretty much all were at one time or another. In case you didn't look it up, it was the 'Golden rule'. (Do unto others . . .) Kind of universal, that one.

An athiest? In SLC? What will they think of next?

Personally, I'm a devout Pedestrian.

With the way that the predominant religion runs this state... I'll bet there are a lot more that just keep quiet about it.... I have a small group of friends that share my views on the subject. We blend.... Kind of like the reverse of what went on in the Soviet Union with Christians and the State....
