Road Trip to Louisville
Well, I've finally given over to the fact that the noise I was blaming on the Perelli's is actually a wheel bearing. An appointment has been made and I'll take the two hour drive to Louisville so I can make sure the bearing is done RIGHT (Thank goodness for Beav).
Like I told Beav, it's strange to say (considering I have to get up very early on a Saturday, drive two hours to spend around 300.00), I'm looking forward to it. Not to mention, they're predicting SNOW --- whoopee!

Speaking of ORings
And now for a smooth segue....
What size ORing do I need. It would be nice to know BEFORE I take the car apart, since it complicates the trip to the store if you take it apart first. CJ |

Which bearing was it front or rear, and what did it sound like.

With thanks to Trevor -- here are the o-ring dimensions: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...&threadid=6144 svxy, Seems to be the left rear. It sounds like a low tire (low droning pitch at low speed, picking up to higher pitch as speed increases). When the right rear went out on my other car, it sounded more like a "Monster Mudgrip." Could have been because, since it was on the opposite side of the car, and I couldn't hear the early sounds, it became louder. If you have someone drive you down the road while you're in the back seat listening, it's a little easier to detect which side the noise is coming from.
