2003 Impreza

Found a photo of the 2003 Impreza STi on another site. I'm attaching it to this message. I like the headlight redesign however it does remind be of another car's headlights. I'm also undecided as to the hood scoop. I'll let everyone else decide.

On another note...has anyone seen this prototype?

Oh my god, that impreza is sweet. The other car looks like focus meets vibe though, kinda ugly.

Headlights on the sti remind me of a G35. I still like the older 2.5rs for the most aggressive looking front end on a subaru (next to the svx, of course)

yikes, they made it even worse!!! actually, i've seen a similar pic of the new design, but it was a silver one. i like my bug-eyed one much better! the lines are nicer on the current one - the new design looks too "busy" and the lines don't seem to flow well. i like what's under the skin, though

I've seen the 03 STi WRX. Still not my cup of tea. Sorry. If they have the older style (2.5RS) lights, I may go have a look again.

What I didn't want to say was that the headlights looked like they were derived from the Acura RSX.

Overall I would really like to have one of these to park in my driveway beside the SVX.

...actually, first, I will need a driveway.

Wow, I actually like their headlights now! As for the hood scoop, since I have one on my SVX, I doubt I'd mind one on an Impreza. And that tall spoiler... perfect! Rice straight from the factory!

Honestly, I like that car's lines. We'll have to see how it really looks up close in person, though.

Thumbs up Impreza STI

I like the line of the Impreza STI.

The new one looks pretty good with the redesigned headlights.

Maybe I am going to purchase one someday I have got the money.

I always liked that car and I loved to watch Colin McRae sitting in it and slide the curves

STI: Much, much better. The lights look like a cross between those on the Legacy and the previous-gen Corolla. But they're way, way better than the Neon lights on the 2002.

WX-01: Supposedly this is a concept for a Subaru MPV. The concept has the 3.0 H6 in it, but apparently it could also have NA and turbo 2.0L engines as well as a GM 2.2L Diesel. The articles I find suggest that the WX-01 is well into the planning stages and not just 'window-dressing.' I tend to believe that - if they were going to do a 'window-dressing' car, I'd expect it to be something really appealing like a sports car or hopped-up Legacy coupe.

The lines on the car are kinda weird - notice how the fenders actually wrap around to the front. I wonder if the plan is to make them out of some sort of plastic...

I was talking to the local dealership today. The normal 2003 WRX's are actually barely different from the 2002's with the exception of the new lit ignition ring we are all used to with our SVX's.

They also said we will be seeing STI's in North America in the first half of next year.....2003.5?? I wonder if they could use that and also say that Subaru has been in North America for 35 years? (sorry...mind's drifting now)

I suppose I was in actuality told that STIs would be comin in 03, and I had assumed that meant that all WRXs would be STIs in 03.
