Lower rad hose OEM only?
Went to my local parts store and they have no listing for the lower rad hose.
They can replace it with a ribbed/flex hose but thats a no go with a plastic tank radiator. Anyone have a source besides OEM? Ok, just ordered it from Napa for $17.99.

Re: Lower rad hose OEM only?
The one I got back in February from NAPA claimed 'cut to fit,' but I just didn't see it fitting well so I returned it and went with OEM. Upper was fine from NAPA.

Re: Lower rad hose OEM only?
Rock Auto shows several hoses, flex and molded cut-to-fit.
Why is a flex hose a problem with a plastic tank radiator? I've been running one (upper hose) for years. dcb |

Re: Lower rad hose OEM only?
I've heard it for a few years, not exactly sure or why. I think its the construction of the hose and the plastic. I'm doing some research and cant find any definitive answer, so I'll go back to the parts store and ask the guy that mentioned it. I had no problem cutting to fit the new hose and theres no leaks.

Re: Lower rad hose OEM only?
flex hoses are really hard rubber and tend to crack the radiator outlet when fully clamped or even during installation from the force of bending them to the right shape. never experienced it myself but replaced many a radiator due to them.
