Re: Lower the idle

Adjust the throttle cable to have more or less slack. I think they are 10mm nuts to loosen.

Re: Lower the idle

There isn't any sort of mechanical idle adjustment, and fiddling with the throttle cables is probably not such a good idea.

Re: Lower the idle

Messing with the throttle cable wont help. you can completely remove them and you idle will be the same. The idle on our cars is set by the ecu. Messing wih the set screws for your butterfly valves on the tb can alter idle, but it is not advisable since it changes the AFR

Re: Lower the idle

if you are idling too high you might have a vacuum leak or your tps is misadjusted. the idle will change if you move the tps around.

I agree with 92snowmachine. What is your exact issue? Where is your engine idling at? There must be a reason you want to lower your idle.

Additionally, what year is the car and how many miles? What major maintenance has been done recently?

Re: Lower the idle

Should be idling at 750 after a few seconds which is pretty slow.

Yes and no....I removed my throttlebody to replace a valve....I never adjusted my tps or had a vacuum leak and I now have a higher idle. I didn't adjust anything...so mine is a weird one that I'm still trying to figure out.
