Bringing an SVX back from the brink. My winter car.

Back in the summer I purchased a car which was advertised on the forum here that was advertised as a parts car. I got it very inexpensively, and expected the worst! Then I began to hope that I may be able to use it as my "winter beater" this year.

The car arrived today, and I was very surprised with now nice it is! I am in the process of fixing it up, but thought I would post a "before" picture. Hopefully I'll have a picture of it cleaned up (before the snow really starts flying.)

good luck! this should be a great project.

those cars in the background: Are they yours or are you hooked up with someone? I know where they are (I drove past them 2 weekends ago)...I was just wondering. PM if desired.

That's where I work. My employer owns that subie graveyard including a wrecked 93 anniversary edition with 40k miles!

Mike,
What's the deal with the wagon, looks like it has BBS rims?

The wagon is wrecked really badly in the front. They're just the stock legacy GT wheels.

That's a shame. I'm developing a liking to that model subie wagon. There are some deadly versions over on NASIOC.

Re: Bringing an SVX back from the brink. My winter car.

My liquid silver '97 Legacy GT wagon has the same wheels. I've often wondered what they'd look like on an SVX. I know the bolt pattern's different, but I wonder if the hubs are interchangeable.

I wouldn't mind buying the rear bumper and right inner fender off of that car. It also looks like its paint is in better condition then mine and free of hail marks.

I think they really wanted it to look like an XT-6.
