Emergency: Wire fell out of TCU (B68) Connector
G'day, I don't know how bad of a problem this is but I'm strapped for time and need to get this wire back in!! It's the Black/Yellow striped wire for torque control.
Does anyone know the correct procedure for fitting this back into the connector? I don't know if I have any of the correct tools for this, don't know if I need to get the pin out, I don't have an "Extractor" or crimping tool. Can someone please get back to me ASAP Thanks a lot, Jordan. |

Re: Emergency: Wire fell out of TCU (B68) Connector
hi there are tools for removing wires but not for installing them ,just make sure its right side up and that the lock tab is not broken ,just push it and it should make a little click

It won't stop you from driving it, just get a code.
Harvey.

Re: Emergency: Wire fell out of TCU (B68) Connector
Yes but the wire has separated from the pin (the pin is inside the connector plug). Do I need to get the pin out and re-crimp and then just push the pin (with wire attached) back in?

So are you saying that wire isn't needed for anything??

Re: Emergency: Wire fell out of TCU (B68) Connector
Well nothing vital, just get no torque cut, just get a code.
Harvey.

Re: Emergency: Wire fell out of TCU (B68) Connector
I think I might just take the pin out and give the wire a little bit of a squeeze and pop it back in
So close to the end!!! Thanks heaps for the quick response |
