transmission alternative?

what other automatic transmission can i use cause as it stands i cant find another svx for sale in the area.

any suby auto from 91-98.5 and any subaru manual pretty much, just need to get the matching rear diff

stock driveshaft will work with any of the bolt-up autos

would a 99 forester tranny work? or only 98.5 impreza/legacy trany's?

nope, won't work. To be safe, just look at '97 and earlier year autos
