|
No Ignition,floor, and dome light
Well stupid me accidentally touched to hot wires together for the floor light and now the ignition light, floor lights, and the dome light don't work. I checked the fuses and they are good. What i'm wondering is isn't their a module for those dimming lights like when you open and close the door? Could this be bad or something else?

Best guess:
A quick look at the wiring diagram says that if your fuses are good (double check #25, as these all source from there), assuming that the wiring is all still intact, either all those bulbs are shot or you've damaged the output of the time control unit.

Well the ignition and floor light are LED's and the diode wasn't burnt out as well as the fuse. The dome light works but you have to press the button now instead of it coming on when the door is open. Basically every light works but the igntion and floor light and eveything doesn't dim out like it should. Also thier's no power to the ignition and floor lights as well.

Another thought-
When my time control unit went bad, it was caused by a short in the main harness going from the interior of the car to the fuse box under the hood. It looks like my tire kicked up something sharp which sliced through the fender liner and into the harness. You may want to inspect this area for damage.

I actually just recently replaced both front fender liners with new oem ones about 2 weeks ago and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I'll break out the multi meter tommorrow at work and post what I find out. Thanks Mike i'll let you know.
