Getting real close!

Have all the parts in now, so its time to start the swap to a 4.44 Outback Trans.
It was such a nice morning I decided to get some before pics of the car. Looks nice with all the leaves falling.

I have allways wanted an SVX, so it was a terrific surprise when my wife bought me one while I was out to sea!
It has its fair share of dents, a bad windshield, busted side glass, missing radio, broken trans (no rear wheel drive), but it does run great! It came with a new windshield, and I just picked up a new side glass.
And Its Purple!
It will get some clear headlights and turns, new grill, and an ECU tune soon as it is on the road.
Best yet, she only paid $400.00 for it!
Can it get any better!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Have you read the how to in my signature?
Or looked in my locker for parts and tool lists?
Good luck!

You will love the torque!

Yes, they are awkwards, but the tires are on the right direction and I don't wanna pull um off yet.
I have a set of 17's from an '07 altima I like. The guy with the altima switched for Murano rims, and these look like they are going to fit. I'll pop a tire on one later and see how they look (and if they really clear).

In the sun it can't make up its mind what color it is, blue, purple, green... its a flip-flop over a real green.
Its a shame the paint is in better condition than the body, it will have to be re-painted again soon. I was thinking about a real purple...maybe like the old Mopar Plum-Crazy-Purple of the 70's.

Yea, I'm in love

Got all my new seals in the trans today, ready to put the baby up in the air and pull the old one and the diff tomorrow. Tranny will be easy to change, tricky part will be swapping the rear gears to my LSD SVX diff.

Wanted to do most of it today, but I had to put a clutch in a Saab instead. Not as much fun as Suby's, but it had to be done. I did put a timing belt and water-pump on the wife's Legacy GT today, so is wasn't a total loss!
