response is good but it will out of the efficiency range where my tranny spends all its time revving HIGH!! The 35 is out of the equation as I plan on trying to run 500 wheel on pump gas. The turbo needs to be efficient at these power levels at the 35 is not. I feel the 4088 is just a tad on the small side so thats why I think the 4094 will leave me with a little head room in the future

okay, I think this is working now

okay, so I'm wrong....I guess we can't use the pics in the new "gallery" like we could our images in our lockers?

Question -- are you planning on flowing more than 40lbs/min? The maps seem to indicate that 40 lbs/min at 15-20 psi will put you in the "sweet spot" of all three compressors...

Say we want our peak boost to be 22psi on a Gt4094 we should have that by 4k rpms easily. Probably closer to 3300-3500 from what I have seen on other applications. I dont take that as noticeable lag. Have full boost for over 1/2 or the rpm range.

get the block right first

Trust me, before you slap a big turbo and crank it up to 20 psi you better figure a way to keep the heads on. I've been fighting this for years now. The best luck I've had has been under 14 psi. With studs and cometics I could not keep the gaskets intact at 17 psi. My next step is the closed deck with 14mm studs that I just got from ARP (not cheap). IF this does not work, darton sleeves are next. P.S. I'm running a 300 dollar switzer T-04 with v-1 intake and .96 exaust housing. Makes awesome power with little lag. If your really shooting for 500 rwhp, you'll have to run over 20 psi. Good luck.

Okay, now I get the need for the "large frame" unit (still looks like 50-60 will work better than 60-70)

You did this on a SVX?? We are not shooting for 500rwhp but 500awhp. The motors are fully built and broken in already...

Thats why I was going to use it when I started down that road

New to the SVX world, but I'm rather shocked at the apparent lack of mod-happy people. What are the performance benchmarks for these cars, specifically in terms of 1/4 ET, trap speed, and HP?

On topic though, does anybody put twins on?

Sorry for my noob-ness with these cars. I've recently inherited my uncle's driveway ornament (haven't gotten down to pick it up yet). He bought it new in 91 and it needs a tranny (of course). Eventually I will no doubt be fabricating a forced induction setup of some kind...to be honest I haven't even seen the car in person yet so I have no idea how these are even laid out.

*edit* just realized that it was only displaying threads from the last 30 days. All better now. Looks like I've got some reading to do.

Welcome to "the family"
Plenty of "mod happy" folks around.
Keeping the hood line "stock" is somewhat of a limiting factor when it comes to packaging forced induction on the SVX. You'll find that LAN's kit actually mounts a Whipple sc under the stock intake manifold. Stay tuned, 2008 promises to have some surprises now that 2007 opened the door to "built" short blocks.

Just a bit

There hasn't been a successfull twin turbo setup done on an EG33 in an SVX. There may be TT EG33's in other applications, but no SVXii to the best of my knowledge.

There's other threads detailing the dyno pulls that have been done with the new supercharged built motors. I think YT (Young Tom) has the record 1/4, 13.93 @ 96 mph.

also the record of 270 wheel horse I think cannot remember. But still... this winter, the engine comes back out. I have not yet confirmed but I may have a rod bearing with a bit of a clearance issue. I gotta pull the oil filter and check it along with a drain of the old oil. So it may look like I will be taking down the block sooner than I thought.
