Engine codes
Hi all my car has been down for about a week and a half now. The car started stalling out while driving. I am getting the maf and both oxygen sensor codes. I cleaned the maf and it didn't help any. I bought a used maf online and it ran even rougher. The car starts up and runs really rough with my original and stays on emitting a smoke out the tailpipes and a heavy fuel smell in the air. The other maf starts up but stalls out after a few seconds. My question here is: Could some other condition other than a faulty MAF be giving me this code #23 inadvertantly. I'm ready to get another maf but not sure now. Thanks in advance.
Mike

Did you reset the ECU after you replaced the MAF? That's pretty important.

Yes, I disconnected the negative side of battery for about an hour before I put each unit back in car.
