The only problem with the ones Doug linked to is that the network address is not current. That could be changed though.

Six hours submerged in water, and the 4x6 doesn't smear, and it takes quite a bit to tear, although it is a little softer than when dry.

I think we changed the "You got spotted by" phrasing for something a little more grammatically correct, and we had to keep a certain distance from the edges (I can dig that up), but otherwise, it's right nice for the format!

I'm on with him. Tell me when and where to send the money, and I'll take as many as I can get! Pending seeing the design of course. I still think we should get a members SVX on there, even if its an unmodified, super clean one.

You crack me up! Are you sure you don't get kick backs on these?

Well "overtesting" is a always a good way to ensure flawless performance under real world conditions. Subaru should have had you test the transmissions before releasing the car!

I'm still torn over the size of the cards, wallet size vs. 4x6. I think if we could get a photo with the "Nice SVX" to fit on a business card I might lean more that way... Just so many times I see a SVX while I'm in a friend's car or walking across a parking lot too far from my car to go get a card. But I really like the idea of the picture instead of what we've used in the past...

I posted this on the Network Officers Forum.

Check this site:

http://www.overnightprints.com/

Seraph had some network cards printed as shown. Full color, two-sided, glossy UV coating with rounded corners if desired. They were very inexpensive and look great!! Do not run or smear in any way.

[CENTER]

Front of card

Back of card

They are normal business card size 2" x 3.5", double sided. They run $49.95 for 1000, with free shipping over $75.00. 4" x 6" are also available for $114.95 for 1000.

Since he already has an account set up with the artwork, you could PM him for more information.

I also used this one as well before I retired (work email address) I may resurrect it and use it again (with a Polo Green) and a current email address

I gave my name and club ID so that if whoever I gave the card to came to the network, they could say who found them or look up the user for more information.

I also found that people are more comfortable contacting you initially by email, rather than a phone number. I had a phone number on one set, but had much better results with an email address instead. Seemed less pushy.

And as I downloaded a 4x6" postcard template from overnightprints.com, I came up with a more personal approach...

This would be printed one side only. I would probably leave the back blank (except for the Network logo at one end vertically), to write a short hello, give a phone number, or the date and time of a future get-together.

and for those who need a more accurate view, here is one actual size 4" x 6"

The verbage continues to get better as we move down the thread, but I still have trouble accepting "if you have internet access". It simply seems archaic and redundant. Eight or ten years ago, the question of whether someone has internet access would still be valid, but when it's free in so many locations, including some neighborhood unsecured routers, and the libraries even offer the machines' use for free, I don't spend too much time wondering. Heck, my 90 year old grandfather has web savvy!

No, I don't get kickbacks! But I do have a sample, and I'll treat it like a gorilla treats a suitcase if it will demonstrate one of the forum's card options to be qualified or dangerous.

Nothin' against the business cards, many of which are very sharp, but they're showing up on my screen as much as 2.5x their true size. I keep my resolution quite cranked, so some are seeing them even larger. I'd have no qualms about having them as the invites, but before choosing one, they should be represented in their actual size. I don't wanna tick anybody off, but it kind of parallels the vending machine bag of chips.

I always planned to use the SVXWN logo on the back of the card, centered at one end to allow for additional information I might wish to add.

Here is the problem: Currently the only available image is 72dpi. We need a scan of at least 300dpi to have it printed as sharply as it needs to be.

Maybe someone with a scanner can make a scan of the network decal at that resolution and clean up whatever is necessary (edges of die-cut vinyl, etc.) and turn it into a high-quality jpeg file.

Whoever does it first, please send me a copy. When my original Mac crashed beyond repair, it totally destroyed all of my graphics files, including the original .eps files of the master logo, as well as jpeg versions at various resolutions.

Anyone notice the typo on these cards?
Other than that, I like them.
Would prefer the business cards myself.
And maybe on the back have a note saying:

It seems we're agreed that the cards (either size) should be weatherproof, and both of the samples used in the past apparently are.

How easy is it to write on these? And if you can write on them, is your writing now prone to smearing if it rains?

I like the idea of having space to write your name or even a personal message, but if it is not practical I'd rather use that space to spread out some of the wordage onto both sides of the card (as opposed to leaving lots of blank space on one side and lots of wordage on the other).
