Oh yeah, my car would be faster with an auto for sure... but it wouldn't be as much fun

Do STi pistons connect to the rods the same way as the EG33 stock pistons?
You will have very thin piston sleeves my friend... I dunno how reliable your engine will be for boosting.

So I could send a stock piston out to a company and they will make a set of forged pistons? I know the rods are forged stock right? What about the crank? What needs to be done there? Anything?

So, throwing all engine management questions out the window, the block should be able to hold what? Say that you get pistons made with a .5mm overbore are there shops that can bore and hone the cylinders to fit overbored pistons?

yes, many shops could easily do it, personally i am looking into buying two sets (8) forged ej22t pistons, they bolt in and frop the compression ratio, i have a friend who is a perfessional motor builder, meaning he has a shop to bore, stroke, hone ect... and he said that i should be able to bolt those in with out any problems, and it should drop the compression enough to be safe to hold boost into the 20's without caus for concern, however i am going to have custom double or triple thick headgaskets made as well... theoretically the motor should be able to support 400hp with out a problem with this type of set up, however the V5 Type RA motor my buddy just installed was supposed to be good for 300hp and 8200 rpms with out a problem and that block blew in 4 days. so thats my two cents, i plan to get my spare block and start my build this fall/winter real soon here. i will keep everyone posted

I thought that EG33 pistons attached to the rods differently than other subaru motors.

The Wiseco pistons for the EJ22t are listed as having a 97.5 bore. That's .6 bigger than the SVX

you may want to do a little more research on the EJ22t pistons. We already know that you cannot use them worth a crap. and doubling and trippling HG thicnkness is just silly. Your best bet is to bite the bullet and get a set of 6 pistons made by weisco or J&E or another well known manufacturer. They will be kinda expensive but hey, it'll be worth it

Our rods should be fine correct? At least they should be able to hold whatever we are able to load them with currently, right?

Talked to Wiseco yesterday and they said that they could make a set of pistons for $165 per piston. They could adjust the C/R to whatever the user wanted it to go to as well.
