yeah i know man....ive been waiting to wash and wax the SVX but everytime i check the weather there is always thunderstorms in the forecast.

i will say that the Bosch Ikon wiper blades i put on are working awesome after six months - better than the Trico Innovisions i had on the SVX.

i have a box of Aquapel windshield treatment sitting in the garage - this might be a good time to use it. never tried it, but heard good things about it.





i miss the SVX's rear wiper - stupid USDM Legacy's.

Last friday I drove through torrential downpour like I've never seen before. For me, it lasted 45 minutes of which:

- wipers on high could not keep up
- windshield steamed up (it was warm that day then cooled off fast)
- you could not see the lines on the road
- cars had to stop on the side because they couldn't see
- the cars that didn't stop were travelling 30mph max

I only stopped once to wipe the inside of the windshield then I was able to keep pace with most of the traffic.

One day, a friend gave me 50# of perch he had caught while playing in the Atlantic Ocean. We had iced them down for the 3 hour ride home. I was driving for about a half an hour when a storm just like the one you discribed happened!! The IDIOTS never even broke stride, while anyone with a brain was down to 25 MPH.. I was tempted to throw a perch out the window and bounce it off their windshield to see if HITTING a FISH would tell them that it was raining too hard for 70 MPH!!!
