Hello guys !

a little hello from Quebec. there is a new owner of an svx around.

hope this forum will me make love my svx more than i do right now !
this car was a total luck ,my grand-ma sold me her car and for now i need to make some repairs in it , some seals are very used . i needed to put in about 1 paint of transmission fluid and 1 of engine fluid. for now the car is at my uncle garage and i'm working on it with the help of my uncle.we changed the crane seal and the transmission fluid pipe that is under the engine going right to the radiator. there is 1 cam seal that needs to be changed, and the 2 back coil plate and coil shocks. ,maybe some other things. but at least the engine is #1.

since i've stopped using my moms car i falled in love with a 92' ls-l burgundy car with awesome windows.i really like the look and the power it makes a big difference between my mom's 98 sunfire 2.2l

could you guys help me out telling me what are the main problems of this car. letting you know that this is my first car. what should i check and everything ?

Well, seems your already dealing with one of the problems. The cam seals and valve cover gaskets usually need to be replaced..but thats pretty typical for any car 15 year old car.
Number one problem with theese cars is the transmission. Theese things just seem to explode. the problem is heat. The transmission suffers from clogged filters and poor atf flow, as well as a heavy load. A transmission cooler and new internal transmission filter will help keep your transmission safe
Another problem is the rear wheel bearings. If you hear a loud vibration kinda noise from behing you, odds are theese are it. This seems to be a problem that only effects some cars, but when it does, its usually pretty bad. Keep your ears open for that one
Also, the front brake rotors tend to warp if the driver has an agressive driving style. This is an easy fix with either upgraded rotors or a little more liad back driving style

Just remember, this car is NOT a sports car (No matter how sporty it looks) the best matinence is keeping that in mind when you drive it.
