A '92 for $14,000?
Super low miles, local, and in mint condition, think it's worth that much though?

That dealer is definitely smoking something...but who cares. if a supra can bring in that kind of money why cant the SVX.

i feel bad for the people who bought the svx new in the 90s for 30,000 $ and turn around and sell it years later for a fraction of that,

Because a supra has a giant aftermarket and can be easily modified to throw down huge horsepower numbers.... Plus it has a large following. I think someone burned the dealer on the trade in and now they're trying to get their money back out of it.

I spend a lot of time looking at car ads on Auto Trader and my experience is that the price a DEALER plugs into an ad is rarely anywhere near the real selling price of the car. This ad's been around several months at least, and obviously nobody's biting.
Of course these days, many people negotiate the purchase of a car from a dealer with little or no mention of what the true, full, total selling price is-- they're just buying a monthly payment, rolling over a car they're upside-down in, and financing it for unreal lengths of time at unbelievable interest rates. |
