Another SVX Saved!

As some of you may have seen in the for sale forum, Mike621 and I picked up a 94 Pearlie LSi (OMGWOWRARE!). The car was suffering from a coolant leak and then the engine stopped running. We brought the car back to the house yesterday, and got to working on it today. We ended up replacing the water pump, timing belt, tensioner, and idlers. The car started right up and runs GREAT! Special thanks to our Subaru tech neighbor, Tim, for helping us get it going, and Kerven Subaru for keeping SVX parts in stock. (im sure that has nothing to do with the fact that i messed with their inventory min/max when i worked there )

Here's what was left of the timing belt idlers:

Tim being VERY excited that it made it out of the driveway under its own power:

After a quick run to the car wash:

A quick note, this car once was owned by Scott Thor (Bwana) here on the network. He kept it very nice, but it doesnt appear as if it had been washed once in the 2 years after that. We'll get her back to clean though!

Mike

Great job on the car...and a damn nice car too.

Side note: isn't that car wash the best damn car wash ever. I love going there.
