You are the man Phil!

Solar, you have a lot to learn about the 'passion' SVX owners have for these cars. After owning an SVX for 2 years and being the current owner of an '06 WRX, I'd say the SVX can be transformed into a very formidable performance car (and a couple members have already done this! )

listen solar, I have built a 450hp 300zx twin turbo fairlady along sid emy brother and I also built my old truck up a 350hp N/A. These are not HUGE tasks but I bet your wrx doesn't trap at 115mph on stock turbos and intercoolers. So basically I want to say that after driving/racing high powered cars, I still love my SVXi and there is no reason for me to make it just as fast if not faster than that. I am tired of people like you that think the wrx is such a cool car... granted they are no slouch, they were still slower than my SVX stock

You have no clue what is even going on around here do you solar? And I wouldn't try to tangle with Phast Svx if I were you cause from what I've seen and heard from him on here over the past, he knows WTF he's doing as does Tomsvx. You should just hang out on the nabisco board if you have nothing better to say than negative things about other peoples SVXi. If nobody like Tom or Phil beats me to it, I'll make you eat your words someday about the SVX. Just watch my siggy grow over the next few months.

BTW, To all the mods: Can I have more siggy space?

Yes, considering the fact that a stock wrx runs mid-low 15's it is obvious that they are not drag cars either. And yes, my SVX was able to beat WRXes from both a roll and out of the hole

LOL tom your a funny fellow

specs 14.2-14.5 out of the box, never seen a wrx run 15s unless he did not drive it properly,

FYI i ran 13.1 @ 102 with the stock turbo just bolt ons the video is in my locker,

its almost 500 more lbs heavier,, automatic,,and the AWD is not as good,,

im going to stop the argument now on this one, every one who knows cars knows that a wrx is no mid 15 second car,

im sure the moderators have heard enough from me and every one else on this matter and doesnt wanna read any more of this non sense,

so ruler back in my pocket

cheerio

Agreed. Most stock 2.0L 4EAT WRXs run low 15's in the 1/4. If it's a 5spd, then 14.1-14.5 is the norm with a good driver.

That's not impressive to me as bolt-ons are easy to come by for a WRX and not an SVX. Imagine if there was no Cobb Tuning, or bolt-on exhaust & intake systems, etc. Getting your WRX to go from a mid 14 stock to a 13 flat would be a bigger undertaking...

Btw, weight has nothing to do with the performance potential of a car - so why do you keep mentioning it? Ever heard of the Skyline GT-R? Check the curb weight for the R34 V-spec models and you'll see stock-for-stock, the SVX is within 100lbs of it.

Besides, I'm sure PhastSVX's and Mikecg's SVXs weigh under 3,500lbs (w/o driver), would run circles around most WRXs out there and have less than 12-14K in total investment (incl/ price of the car) which won't even buy you an Impreza 2.5i...

-Chike

P.S. Here's a link to specs of the R-34 Skyline GT-R Vspec: http://www.skylinegtr.com/SPECS.html A similar 5/6spd SVX will weigh under 3,500lbs. Even an automatic awd L model is within 100lbs of the skyline's curb weight (my former 96 and Mychailo's '95 both weighed in at 3,490lbs on a scale)
