F!@#ing Thieves

Well, as some of you know, I bought the worlds ugliest SVX... I have ordered all the original body work and will be restoring the car once I return from my military tdy(only 30 days). When I bought the car it had an lcd installed where the suede is above the glove box. I did not care for it or hate it, but I decided to buy a dvd player to run it, and it turned out really well. I can burn a 4.5gb dvd w/mp3's and play it. Anyways, last night someone pulled out the passenger side window(how is that even possible?), and stole my screen and the whole suede deal above the dash. They also stole all my cd's, and ripped the radio out, but thank god they left it for some reason(I just bought the freakin thing). Anyways, Im just ranting, Im freakin pissed, and off course the 5-0 cant do a damn thing. This is the second time this has happened to me in 6 months, someone(I think the same person) broke into my 280zx, ripped out the radio and again left it in the car.

If they pulled out the radio and left it behind, there SHOULD be fingerprints on it!?
Did the police check for prints?

Im also happy that I figured out how to get the key out of the ignition(emergency release), Im sure I would have had one less car this morning if it was still in there(although the neighbors would be happy :-) )

I think you are dealing with Dr Jeckel and Mr Hyde. I think when Mr Hyde is trying to steal that radio, he converts to Dr Jeckel and realizes what he did so he feels bad and just leaves it in the car...

No really I think you are dealing with a sick idiot...

You think that will come back tonight and try to get the radio??? I took it out and the battery until I get my window fixed, dont want to take any chances. Im thinkin about puttin a crappy tape deck from my Z in the same spot they left the dvd player and waitin up tonight so I can get their license plate number and a good look at them. My friends car was broken into and the guys came back the next night to get the rest of his stuff too, but he was waiting for them, unfortunatly he did not get a license plate. Has anyone used a motorized flip out monitor? Im wondering if it will work with the radio cover, Im not sure if it will hit the dash or not. Anyways, its gonna be a long night, I hope I catch these bastards.

Are you kidding? just wait for them with a sniper rifle, a lazer beam, and blow the hell out of them ...

J/K you can always take their license, and be sure to catch them on TAPE

Snipeing is not legal,

however, if you are on your way, outside, to install "The Club" and you happen upon a tresspasser, and "have to defend yourself"

I for one would understand.

Maybe the place you live at has much higher crime rate. Can you get insurance for your system? That's sucky to hear that. Try not to show off your car too often....close the radio cage and tint your windows darker might help.

twice....
could possibly that someone is "playing" with you...the fact that they are getting into your car and not braking anything....kind of like a show of their skill to get into your cars...
then again...that's screwed to begin with..who are your enemies?
it's obvious that whoever it is, is good at doing what they are doing ~ clean break ins

Maybe someone is just trying to get you. They damage the car and make it look like a thief. That way they can not be caught with any of the goods. I would do something else if this is the second time.
