Sounds like estimates. I will be very impressed if they roll out the production model and get those numbers.

It is being made by the same people who made the Maclaren F1, the production figures hit the target. These figures quoted are from actual tests, not just predictions. Time to start saving.

Not that there's really anything wrong with BMW. I like their styling, but I don't see the point in paying the ridiculous maintenance costs they require.

Just the way I feel.

You may want to take the BMW V8 over the Ferrari though...Ferrari is not exactly known for it's reliable motors.

haha, are you kidding me? You have more V8 BMWs in your neighborhood than American V8s? must be nice

Not BMW V8's. Just BMWs. Unfortunately, i've grown tired of what is really a pretty nice car...simply because I see them everywhere. BMW is losing it's exclusivity and becoming the new "me too" car. At least around here that seems to be the case.

you must really hate Gran Prix's/Am's, Monte Carlos, and Sunfires, then.

Just an aside, didn't BMW develop the McLaren's engine?

More like McLaren used BMWs engine...but a bigger displacement.

There's a big difference. The owners of the cars you mentioned don't think they own the world. That's the annoying part - the people who think they are big time because of their BMW...even though everyone else in their neighborhood has one, or two even.

I rarely see a Monte Carlo around here. Maybe it's just the area. There are plenty of Cavaliers and Grand Am's though. By far the two most common cars in my area are a BMW 3-series and a Mustang V6. H2's are making a run for the top 3 though.

They probably thought that they owned the world before they got the BMW but if they are still making payments then they may not even own the BMW

have you interviewed every BMW owner you've come across to determine this? you must have, because i know how you feel about broad generalizations.

so we can conclude that:
all BMW owners are pompous snobs
all Trans-Am drivers are toothless mulletheads
all Subaru Forester drivers are lesbians
all Miata drivers are hairdressers
all Corvette drivers are middle-aged Viagra users
all Cadillac drivers are black
all Saturn drivers are idiots

stereotyping.....not just for breakfast anymore.
