p.s. I'm guessing you're putting down somewhere between 230 and 240 hp at the wheels, which means you're approaching 300hp at the crank (based on a vehicle weight - with driver - of ~3600 lbs)
The '06 WRX puts out 230 bhp, weighs about 3200 lbs, and does a 5.8 sec 0-60 and a 14.4 sec 1/4 mile. The Evo puts about about 280 bhp, weighs about 3350 lbs, and turns in a sub-5 sec 0-60 and a sub-14 sec 1/4 mile. Figuring that Tom's car weighs 3450 lbs and accounting for the slipping clutch, I'd guess that his car is probably pushing a very respectable 260-270 bhp.

270hp was what I was thinking...and with a 20% drivetrain loss through the awd 5MT, that'll put him at ~216 awhp!

wouldn't spinning tires and a slipping clutch act to increase the effective drivetrain loss?

Stock WRX's consistently put out around 170 awhp on various dynos, so if you believe the stock WRX engine puts out 230 bhp, then that's about 25% drivetrain losses. Just trying to keep it real. :-)

Correct. Which will put his estimated wheel hp around 202....
