If there are members there, I doubt their internet service is functional...yet.

Hopefully they were smart and got out before the storm hit.
I was in North Carolina waaay back when hurricane Bonnie hit in Aug 1998. Was a category 3 storm (though in the end not too bad) and I was sitting in a Holiday Inn near the coast which was actually a designated emergency shelter. I had driven down from Toronto in my own car - a loaded Toyota Cressida.

Call me crazy, but a few days before the storm hit, I drove my car inland to Rocky Mount and left it in a relatively safe parking garage. Spent the next few days driving a rental. Nothing happened to either car, but I figured better safe than sorry.
