What? You don't think that $60 push up bras and $150 trips to the "nail technician" are economical??

You guys are all wet. I would suggest getting another SVX. That way the wife can drive one at the same time and the whole family will fit that way. dugh!

The way I see it, if it's a REAL EMERGENCY, you don't want all the kids along for the long wait at the hospital, what you do want is a car that will get you to the hospital REAL FAST! Then, being such a cool car, you can park in the doctors parking lot without raising any eyebrows.

For non-medical emergencies, make two trips, that way you get to drive your SVX even more!

Talking excellent suggestions (?)

Ok guys, excellent suggestions but in a real world application, they might come off a little disingenuous. If I try almost any of these tacts (especially the get rid of the wife one- man that could get expensive), I will get the hand on the hip, you must be drinking kinda response. To which my response is the ole' deer in the headlights look. At that point, I'm looking for cover or potentially holding a baby in my hands as a shield (remember the end scene in Dead Zone?)

But seriously, I'm going to try by whatever means necessary to retain possession of the vehicle. One card in my pocket is that the car was originally my wife's. She loves the car. If I can keep it running, fix it as economically as possible, I should be able to "logically" argue for its continued presence in our driveway.

Then lets see about sneaking in some mods!

I think you're on to something .... how about some thing like "It's not just a car, it's a reminder of you, every time I drive it I think of you and all the reasons (besides the cool car) that I love you" or, "selling this car would be closing the book on a great love story, let's not close the book, let's just keep adding more and more chapters"

... run with it

Haha i should have know i would have gotten some smarta$$ remarks, i'll assume they were half heartedly written. I'll stick by words in that women think much more logically/economically then us or at least me! I've never dated "high maintenance girls", girls who are self absorbed are a huge turnoff! And i get out plenty! Too much actually, drinking/partying in D.C. has taken its toll financially!!
To each their own...
