The 959 was so much better then the F40. It was a real car. A/C, power windows, a radio, real leather interior. The F40 was all composite and carbon fiber. The dash was covered in felt. I bought all the mags when I was in H.S. with 959 vs F40 comparos. They picked the F40 because it was 6 mph faster. Big deal. I'd take the 959 ANYDAY!

Very true Danny. The front end of the new Carerra does look 'very' similar to the 959...

but the pic of the GT2 above your post is not a 2005, it is a 2004. in 2004 the headlights shape are the same as those in the pic, but in 2005, the headlights became round again, same as the 959. so if you compare both cars, the 959 and the 2005 carrera, the difference is negligeable, even at the level of the front bumper!!! really shoking resemblance......

Agreed. The resemblance to the '05 Carrera is very striking.

Speaking of the Paris-Dakar, let's see an AWD F40, F50, 355, 430, etc... win a Rally!!!!! There was a saying I read one time, let me see if I can get it right. Ferraris are for your right brain, passionate, sensual, and emotional. Porsches are for your left brain, strong, technical, mechanical, and intelectual. The 959 vs F40 is a prime example of that difference. I do like the Ferrari 575, but other then that car, it'd be a Porsche over all of them. And yes before you ask, a Carrera GT over an Enzo. The Enzo is fugly. The Maserati version is much better looking.

mmm, that is debatable... Personally, I prefer the new Lambo over Ferraris and Maseratis. I just love AWD technology in a beast such as the Lambo (that is speaking about the latest supercars... the 959 still have no rival in my opinion...)

If it's even possible, the new Lambos are the best underated supercars out there.
