Old news, they've been selling it in India for quite a few years now. Chevy has the dealer network, Subaru wanted to get in the door with little investment capital. Chevy did the rebadge thang. Pretty soon there won't be a Chevy made by Chevy

Yeah, that's just it... I don't think Subie will be launching there in the near future but wanted to get into the market. Chevy of course not having much that would fit the market was more than happy to ablige. Same reason they won't let Isuzu die. They need 'em too bad in the international market!

Isuzu is huge in India....Theres alot of those **** little cars running around. I think chevy would do better in india than subaru just because chevy is an american brand and is known....no one in india knows what a subaru is.

Very true. What's upseting to me is that Subaru and Chevy are on different ends of the car spectrum in terms of the products they offer - Chevy is more middle of the road, while Subaru tends to have a more unique following that loves the awd, etc.

Seeing a Chevy badge on a Subaru (or vice versa) is just a big surprise and a bit upseting. However, if both companies are able to make money off the deal, then the better...

You have to admit though that other than Subaru, the name "Forester" and look of the automobile pair best with Chevy. Can you imagine a Pontiac or better yet GMC, actually those don't seem to sound bad since the "Forester" name is just easy to say, at least for most languages and signifies the car rather than the brand it is under, most Subarus model names seem to be that way. But you have to admit the Forester does look decent as a Chevy, even though with the Pontiac badge in center it wouldn't look to bad either but then again it wouldn't bode correctly with the rest of the grill. Also the other two models are re-badged Suzukis and one of them should look rather familiar to you.

also keep in mind alot of toyota parts are intrchangeable with some chevy cars as well... so you may look into some chevy stock for tinkering with your car, there may be some compatibility
