You know you want one.

But where to get one, and the potential side effects, if any.

Never would have crossed my mind, but everytime my friend IMs me and we get into car talk he brings it up and how much he loves the one on his 86 300Zx.

Are you sure the stocker isn't aluminum? I don't know personally but you never know.

The driveshaft is not aluminium.

Hm sounds hard to damage, but would it be hard to damage?

I found a place in town that will custom make aluminum drivelines. I'll get more info later.

edit:
I don't know if I can trust a company that makes a claim like this:
"The most Technically Advanced Rotors available. These Rotors undergo a special deep Cryogenics Process. This process actually alters the composition of the metal at the molecular level. Doesn't carbon fiber wear out over time? I have heard it develops microfractures from normal wear and needs to be replaced....

GM Used carbon fiber driveshafts in all of their Z71 outfitted pickups. They were light as anything and Never saw one break either. A guy even had his driveshaft break at the front yoke and drop down only to lift the back of the truck up and almost flip him over doing 60mph.....still didn't break the dravshaft. I was wondering about an aluminum one peice driveshaft for myself, can we use these or no?

I was wondering myself if something like this would have side effects in the same arena as a lightened flywheel. Everyone says it won't work well.

There's only 2 ways to find out though, one is waiting to be told one is finding out for myself.

You do realize that cryo-treating almost any metal offers so much more strength than most other things right? It's a hell of a lot better than slotted or drilled rotors that for sure.

I have to aggre the idea of spending at least probley $500 if not more for about 1 hp, and 10 pounds seems bad for a peformance gain, money ratio.

Well when my center bearings or my ujoints go to crap, It may be worth my while. I could get a one peice driveshaft for like 200-300 if I wanted, I was just wondering if it was plausible
