Speed Ometer Question for 5-speed
OK, heres the story. Im putting a 93 Legacy 5-speed in the 92 SVX. I have the tranny in, the clutch pedals, and the new x-member. THe drive shaft is currently being made for it. I desided to scrap the 2 piece and have a single one made for it. Next is the rear diff. I was going to start on the conections for the tranny and while looking at it I realized the Legacy used a cable driven speedO while the SVX uses an electronic. Has anyone found a way to work out this problem?

Unscrew the SVX's Electronic speed sensor and screw it into the Legacy 5-speed's cable opening.....wha-la it's solved.....but you will have to splice a section into the wiring harness, as it won't reach back to the location on the 5-speed....

What about accuracy with the 4.11 gears?

If you're referring to the speedo being off...it won't. The speed is taken from the front diff so it will be accurate.

good luck with that! they are made in 2 pieces because of the angle of the tranny and rear. your not going to have the right angle. |
