winter/summer wiper switch
what does the winter summer wiper switch do? i know it switches from winter to summer modes but mechanicly what does it do?

It keeps them raised up on the glass so snow and stuff doesn't get them stuck (I guess). Is that what you wanted to know?
I keep mine in winter mode all the time.

Ozeit work?
The wiper motor is controlled by switching the ground/earth/negitive wire on and off. When you switch it off at the switch, you remove the earth, but the motor still has an earth strip in the motor, that a contact runs down till it reaches the end, the earth is then disconnected, and the blades stop at the bottom of the stroke, summer position
This earth strip has an extra section, above the normal end, that is switched off by the summer/winter switch. With this section switched off, the motor stops short of the end of the normal earth strip, in the winter position. Harvey.

The winter position allows the blades to be higher on the window so the defrost can defrost them so they will not stay frozen to the window.
