Most SVX vent panels are Purple in color in reference to the ones that you are talking about. Mine is the same way. That woodgrain imitation always does it, in most cases. The other trim panels that weren't woodgrain didn't fade or turn anyother color at all.

In my first car, a 1987 Subaru GL wagon - upon removing the hubcap, a dead field mouse fell out. Guess he got too dizzy.

In the SVX, the new Jay Z cd. Bwana wants it back though.

The "Purple Panel Syndrome" is typical in the '92. I've seen several others. It's a common phenomenon.

I found about 3.00 worth of change under the console when I removed it to try to get to the cig lighter (which was faulty). Removing the console didn't help me get to the lighter, but, it's always good to be richer -- even if it is just by 3.00.

I found that the back seat had become a infestation of bullweavles. little maggot like worms that you tend to find in old oatmeal. It took me two weeks to get rid of the enitre infestation. *chuckles* also under said seat, i fould a little baggie of pot. Promply tossed in trash. And i bought the car from a nice lady in her 60's. Hmmmm, i wonder.

anyone else with this purple tinted wood grain panel?
Yep! THe exact same panel in mine is purple as well. My guess is that for some reason that one panel was manufactured seperate from the rest and used a different formula in the plastic composition that allows it to turn purple unlike the other, better made panels in the cars.

Johnny (I know I read this thread when it was new but the whole thing is like it all news to me. Better late than never)

The only surprise I found in mine was an entire roll of New Jersey Garden State Parkway tokens behind the dashboard. Roll had broken open and it took a bit of time to extract the loose ones from behind the steering column. Have kept them for two years waiting for a chance to drive to the Jersey shore and use them up.

As for the used condom one member found in their SVX...EWWW!!!! I think I would have insisted on having my entire SVX soaked in alcohol or fumigated at the very least. <shudders> Even the thought of a used Tampon does not make my skin crawl like some other dude's nut-juice in a rubber bag does!<gags>

Nevermind the lady's stash (after all, old ain't dead); what I wonder is, what went on in that back seat?

Bullweavels were problably feasting on the stash of pot and thriving and populating in the back seat. You know how horny pot makes you!
