and this is how they look installed

on the car...
pretty cool look overall, I need to check
on getting them made. But as always, we have to
make a huge batch to keep cost down, if we can
get them done at all.

which is why I was going for something more like my car, which cuts out 0 light

Those lines on their origional? I was REALLY surprised to see that.. none of the ones I have ever seen have them. and I personally don't like them, but I still want a clear set

I am pretty sure I can get them treated at a place near here that does sunglasses to make them reflective....would go w/ my car.

PART NUMBER!!!

Subaru made two styles of removable headlight protectors for the SVX; the ones with the fine horizontal lines (like Dayle's) and the perfectly clear ones that I had at the Reading meet.

There was a very small Subaru logo back by the rear edge ot the turn signal, which I buffed off.

Ther part number was also screened on the protectors, and is hidden by the hood when closed.

The Canadian (and maybe Australian) part number for the headlight protector is SCI 700204

Dayle,

If you can make the ones without the lines, I would be in for a set. I'm sure there is a lot of interest for these, so making a large batch would probably not pose a problem.

Is that for the clear protectors? I like both of them, but I think the lines are kind of cool. Have a part no. for those? I'm definitely interested.

Live free or die!

Living in a state that has that motto is useful sometimes. We dont need helmets on our motorcycles, seatbelts, good headlights, or a huge number of other things....

got a call in to a few people today
waiting their replies.
If we do them more then likely we'll do all
clear, and then maybe 20% tinted.....
but no promises yet. I have to see how many sets
we have to commit to before we get the go ahead.

I actually have a pair of these, still in plastic, and never opened. I thought they might look dorky, but might be willing to part with them. They came with my car when I bought my latest SVX... wrapped in the trunk.

Starting bid, anyone?

Dale, get me the SOA part number off those and I will contact the US accessories team in NJ and find out if we can do a group buy through Fuji.

They might actually be cheap, we'll see... I've had pretty good luck with some of this stuff. I may also be able to get the JDM solar cooling units for the back deck, the SVX is unique in that many of the accessories are "world parts," i.e. available in every market. Kind of like how you can order the turbocharger from a '96 Legacy, even though we never had a turbo Legacy in those years in the US.
