mechanical question

I need to have a few things fixed to get my svx operational and was wondering if this would be a fair price
1.front seals need to be repaced
2.solenoid and cable to battery needs replacing
3.belts tightened
4.120,000 tune-up (timing belts,trasnny fluid flush, gear oil, pugs,wires.
5.tranny cooler installed

what would be a fair price for all of this i was thinking 1500 to 2000 range at a non dealership. Is this too high or too low?

p.s when I floor my car the steering wheel jerks to the left what could this be?

That would be the approximate price for all of that to be done. When they replace the timing belt and front seals, be sure to have them replace the water pump as well.

I would start by replacing the PS O-ring before doing anything else to the power steering. The other thing that may be a problem is the front end need to be aligned.

Sine we can't feel what the "jerk" is like I can speculate maybe torque steer.

As for the other work I just had the folloiwng done for about $700.00

Timing belt, 2 tensioners, water pump & thermostat, front seals & radiator flush. (I also had a wheel bearing replacement but I didn't include that in the above number)

What is strange is that I think it's an excellent price yet it was done by a dealer! I've had some baaaaaaaaaad experiences with non-delaer mechs working on this car.

I would use this number for a 'low' estimate for the above work. Good luck!
