too many variables.

how often do you think you will change them? how hard do you drive, what temp ranges?

I personally think synthetics (Mobil 1 or Redline) in the differentials is a good thing. In the engine and tranny you are taking chances to switch to synthetics with high mileage - although many have done it with success (I would recommend a conditioner like Auto-Rx first).

do a search on synthetic oil, I'm sure you'll turn up a good evenings read.

or cruise over to this web site and read for days: http://theoildrop.server101.com/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi

Kerven Subaru uses BradPenn fluid products in all my cars. I trust their judgment.
